The main doors are on the east side of the building. Come in and up the stairs on the right. Our Kindermusik room is at the top of the stairs! The Fellowship Hall - located upstairs off of our Kindermusik room - is where families can meet before and after class, and where parents can wait for children in class. Plenty of parking available.
Back in 1998, I attended Kindermusik classes with my own daughter. We loved it so much, I knew I had to become a teacher! I started my home studio the summer of 2000 here in the Highlands neighborhood of Lincoln, NE. I took a "break" for short time in between, but realized that teaching Kindermusik is my heart's true desire and have been going strong ever since!
Although I don't have a formal music background, music has always been a big a part of my life. I have fond memories of playing Simon and Garfunkel albums with my mom and dad on their state-of-the-art quadrophonic stereo (I know, that dates me!) - and we were always having family dances in the living room and kitchen. In junior high and high school, I sang in the choirs and was in swing choir. Music helped me make friends, and got me through those teenage years!
During the birth of my daughter Brynn, we had music playing to help sooth her way. And once we discovered Kindermusik, instead of just listening to adult music, we began playing music of all ages and ethnicities in our house. Kindermusik opened up our world of music appreciation - and we enjoy all kinds of music together to this day!
